The most important step in a new head coach’s transformation of the program is finding a way to get his players on the field. Usually that is an easy task, given that most coaching changes happen due to failures on the field. That isn’t the case for the Minnesota Gophers and P.J. Fleck though.

Minnesota has been a bowl team for awhile now, so the cupboard is far from bare. Still, the Gophers aren’t as deep or as loaded with starters returning as they were the last few years.

That can open the door for new players to get in the mix and make an impression on the program immediately. Can the guys who chose to stay and get behind Fleck make immediate impacts on the Gophers program?
